The Metaphysical Society for the Expansion of Consciousness  (MSEC)
The MSEC was founded in 1993, by Christine King. Its aim was to advance Metaphysical and Spiritual studies and to develop a Holistic Counselling Therapy, based upon Spiritual Principles.
This pioneering therapy and its training route have since been recognised by the ICNM.
The MSEC serves as a training faculty and also as a network for qualified and registered Metaphysical Practitioners and Teachers.
The register is located on the MSEC website www.metaphysicalsociety.com
Debbie Austin is a registered and qualified Practitioner and Teacher. She is authorised to teach the MSEC Foundation and Practitioner Courses and also to Supervise Practitioners after they have qualified. She is also an active member of the MSEC committee, along with several colleagues.
See below for a list of the MSEC's key beliefs.

The Institute for Complementary and Natural Medicine  (ICNM)
The ICNM is a regulatory body which monitors training and standards of practice within the field of Complementary Medicine.
Established in 1989, it also offers a register of practitioners in the UK, i.e. the British Register of Complementary Practitioners (BRCP).
Upon successful completion of the MSEC Practitioner Course, qualified therapists are able to join the BRCP. i.e. the British Register of Complimentary Practioners.
Their website is  www.i-c-m.org.uk

THE MAIN PRINCIPLES BEHIND THE PHILOSOPHY OF
THE METAPHYSICAL SOCIETY FOR THE EXPANSION OF CONSCIOUSNESS
 1.   We believe there is One Mind, One Life Force, One Universal Power permeating all existence.

2.   We believe this Power to be: Omnipotence (All Power), Omniscience (All Knowledge) and Omnipresence
      (Being Everywhere Evenly Present).

3.  We believe that the name by which this Power is known is unimportant.  Some descriptions are The Source,
Presence, Self, The Unmanifest, The Universe, Power Within, Life Force, Creative Mind, Infinite Intelligence,
     God, etc.

4.  We believe mankind to be the expression of this Power as It individualises Itself as Mind, Body and Spirit.

5.  We believe this Power to be a Power for Good, operating through the Spiritual Laws of Mind.

6.  We believe that we experience this Power as creative and as it expresses Itself and functions in our lives,
     we are transformed.

7.  We believe that, on a mental level, each individual creates his or her own reality by means of thought
and belief, and that by aligning our consciousness with the One Presence we change our experience.

8.  We believe that the Spiritual Nature of man is perfect and that our journey is for the purpose of unfolding
that perfection by the upliftment of consciousness and the realisation of our AT-ONE-MENT with Life.

NB. Please note - you do not need to believe or fully understand the above principles, in order to take part in this course.
They will become clearer as we progress through the studies.
This list is provided here for completeness and so you can see the principles upon which this training programme is based.
